Today is Mothers Day! The day when you gotta show mothers how much you really love them. Some say everyday is Mothers Day, cause mothers should be honored all the time. Mothers are suppose to be special supportive, and understanding people who care you no matter what.
Sadly that's not always the case. Some mothers are the total opposite. Sometimes for obvious reasons and some for senseless reasons.
My relationship with my mom is very complex. Sometimes I cant stand her guts and i wish she would just disappear, and others times I'm happy shes around. She has her annoying tantrums and nagging attitude sometimes and other times a warm heart, with open arms.
This Mothers Day i wrote her a wonderful poem and bought here 2 beautiful pair of shoes. She absolutely loved them. As she read the poem she smiled and showed her gratitude.
I gave my grandmother a beaded necklace and a very glamorous pair of purple sandals. She broke down in tears. I thought to my self, "She do dam dramatic" lol. She smiled and was truly happy.
I was happy that i had made her smile.
Family and more importantly mothers can get on our nerves and sometimes make us want to slap the crap out of them for whatever reason, but at some strange point in our lives we have to come to realize that those are the people that brought us into existence and nurtured us into adult hood. It may not always be a happy ending or walk through but mothers are special people and should be honored if not for at least one day!
